We have a requirement to send the forecast data to ECC.
Current State:
In the current state the forecasting is done within ECC and the reporting in HANA based on ECC info structures that allows to maintain versions of weekly runs.
HANA is connected to ECC and all the reports are created in HANA . There is no BW system in the current landscape
Future State:
With APO , we still want to send the Demand Planning data to ECC every week to the specific info structure(within ECC) with all the demand planning characteristics like we do for a normal reporting process.
While we plan to release the forecasts to ECC and SNP from DP , the forecasts will be basically PIRs and will probably have no data pertaining to DP characteristics like Customer , Customer Grp hierarchy and others.
There is no immediate plan to connect APO to HANA for reporting.
Questions:
Is there a way this can be done, has anyone worked in this scenario.
Can I replicate an APO Planning Area Datasource to ECC , like we normally do in an external BW. If so, please let me know the process.
When we release forecast to ECC from DP, is there a way I can populate the additional DP specific characteristics.
Please suggest.
