We are in the middle of workshops at Nature’s Way in Green
Bay.
The topic is the Definition of the Customer (sales) and
Product (marketing) Hierarchies.
Nature’s Way want 1 hierarchy only to facilitate planning in
either of the traditional customer-oriented and product-oriented hierarchies.
In other words, 1 large hierarchy with product at the lowest level (( as
opposed to the product rollup (highest level) on the customer hierarchy)).
They have drawn a 6 level hierarchy with the product/SKU at
the lowest level. The requirement is to plan in any combinations of this
hierarchy, with combinations that are at different levels of the hierarchy, for
example, enter data at a combination of level 2 and level 5. We cannot
move forward now until they have the answers to whether this will work for
them. (Attributes have already been discussed to view data by attributes,
however, this is not sufficient).
