With APO going on 'Extended Support' this essentially means that there will be no more development on the APO platform. APO is developed on the BI platform. Very similar to when SAP bought BOBJ, BI development, for all intense purposes stopped while they built out content in BOBJ. There are only so many developers at SAP and budget for the number of SCM headcount. Have not seen in recent publications that SAP has doubled their development org. This means that all dev must be going to their platform being released in 6 years. Only makes sense.
