A customer of ours is doing ATP in ERP for products which are both used for inhouse production of finished products as well as selling
the same components outside.
For Example:
Material A has a customer sales order & forecast
Material A is also a component on a production order consumed by a finished good
When they enter a SO or a Production order, the ATP works fine (allocates the MATERIAL A as per the requirement date / order entry date.
But they also run V_V2 (Rescheduling) and COMAC (for production orders) and that messes up the whole ATP which was performed
earlier. The Stock confirmed for a Prod. Ord is reallocated to the SO (when V_V2) is run.
the question I have is
- Does GATP handle this better (the rescheduling does not mess up PO confirm and vice versa). I would assume GATP Availability Check + BOP should be able to do this too. Does BOP work for Production order Component confirmation of would we need to use MLATP?
