Quick question on Moving average

Per documentation, Parameter K is mandatory for moving average

SAP Sales and Operations Planning 3.0 SP02 Help Center

However there is no place in config to maintain K for moving average... Also there is no K value for Moving Average in SAP2 model

Question(s):

1) Is K required for moving average?

2) if K required, where is to maintain?

Any help is appreciated in understanding significance of K is moving average forecast method..
