1 Supplier BP with multiple vendor location assignment issue

Dear Experts,

 

I am back to square one, if you think.  Please read through my issue.

Scenario:

I have all the needed setup done for 1 Supplier BP Organization defined as "MJVENDORSS".  I have 5 different location in the world I supply to same Customer..- different all over the world.

 

Here, I have setup a Supplier BP "MJVENDORSS" and have all the Vendor location type 1011 CIFd over and have assigned the Supplier BP to all the location Same BP number.

 

 

I have my Product, location, Tlane, MoT , Customer BP, Supplier BP assignment in place no issue.

 

The issue is the RON_in fails with error "

 

Transportation lane(s) not found071(/SCMB/MDL_BASIC)
Item 00010: ShipFromLocation could not be determined from transp. lane042(/SCA/DM_MDCOMP
Order       XXXXXXX  Business partner "Supplier" is not assigned to a location023(/SCMB/ORDER)

 

When i create a Supplier BP same as the Vendor number of ECC example BP 1000110  and assign to 001000110 it works fine.

 

I have tried multiple Validation check making active inactive Warning etc.  No luck. 

 

Can you guys kindly advise what I am missing and what setup correction i have to make to get the above working and my PO and Release are visible in SNC.

Program TMTRQCUSTCHECK

Hello All,

 

I am testing the customizing settings with the program TMTRQCUSTCHECK and I am getting the following errors when I test with a shipping document.

 

1. "Transfer of documents to SAP TM is not activated"

For this problem, I have checked all configurations and they are fine.

 

2. No XML message IDs found.

 

Does anybody have any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Safety days supply Error

Hi All,

I am testing the safety days supply (SZ) method, assigned the method SZ in product master, and maintained safety days of supply.

Using the 9asnp05 planning area and standard planning book 9ASNP_SSP. But the safety days supply is not displayed in the planning book key figure from product master.

Found out that the Safety days macro is not part the planning book, and hence created the new planning book based on the standard planning book.

Created the safety days supply macro as below

Safety Days : ( 25 Iterations :22.08.2013; W 43.2013 )

Row: Safety Days' Supply ( Frm 23.08.2013 ) =

SAFETY_DAYS( ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION )

 

However the safety days are not displayed in the planning book.

 

I am able to enter the data in the key figure manually, if I enter the days 5 and later if i change 8 the safety stock data not calculated based new data.

Help me out where the mistake is.

APO Process Chain - optimal set up?

Hi,

 

I have a process chain, which is running 23 jobs - identical macro calc. jobs, just the selection in each job is different - i.e. one and the same macro job is running for each Unit

 

Is there a known SAP APO best practice as to how many jobs to run in parallel in the process chain, as for example, now I have arranged these jobs in the following manner:

 

I can figure out Unit 5 + 10 +13 +18 should not be in the same vertical wing, is there any other advice?

For example  - no more than three jobs running in parallel or similar?

False Error: Variant not in current version although it is active

Hello Everyone,

 

Recently we are facing a strange error in APO system after SCM EHP2 Upgrade. Following 2 programs  are part of one of the process chain

/SAPAPO/RMQUOT_PAREA_CHAR

/SAPAPO/RMQUOT_PAREA_WRITE

 

But after upgrade these program steps are failing with error " Variant ****of program /SAPAPO/RMQUOT_PAREA_CR is not the current version "

Previously this error use to  come very rarely that too only when there is a change in internal structure of program. In that case we use to run program RSVARDOC_610 but now it is failing everyday and it is not the same issue although the error message is same. Variant is not actually obsolete  but still this error is coming. I am able to re run the same program variant without running the program RSVARDOC_610. Can anyone guide me here as why this program is failing and is there anyway to correct this?

Report for remaining capacity in Handling resources - SAP TM 9.0

Dear experts,

 

when using TM 9.0 and defining handling resources for capacity calculation purposes, we would like to understand the best practice on how to check the remaining capacity on these resources once orders have already been allocated.

 

Is somebody familiar with this process? Is there a report available to comply with this basic business request?

Sub con scenario not working in APO - Heuristic does not plan

Hello There,

 

I am stuck in sub con scenario in APO

 

Scenario : Plant "X " and Vendor "V"

 

Parent Product A Child : Product B  , Product A goes to vendor gets packed with product B ( which will be send by plant X) and returns to Plant X.

 

ECC master data :

 

BOM for Product A with child B

Sub con PIR : maintained version in PIR.

 

After CIFing to APO Subcon T lane and PDS at Vendor location got created. Also this products got extended to Vendor locations.

 

Seems everything in place.

 

Run the LLC determination for these locations and products.

 

But when tried to run Heuristic through SNP01, Message appears no LLC exist for Product A and Product B at Vendor "V" locations.

tried to run in planning book interactively - Simply shows 2 locations products processed, but no PRs are generated at Plant "X".

 

When I manually create sub ocn PR in plant "X" all requirements flow and subcon cycle complets.

 

Can you please all help me out, am I missing something in this set up ?

Cost calculation after optimizer - SAP TM 9.0

is somebody familiar on how the field "costs" in the optimizer is calculated?

What data is it pulling in? If I look in the optimizer explanation, this value never comes up...

Issues with /SCMTMS/PROCESS_TRIGGER_BGD Background job

Hi experts,

 

We are working in SAP TM 8.1

We have been a scheduled background job for every 5 min for program /SCMTMS/PROCESS_TRIGGER_BGD as per note 1747234. Everything is fine till last 2 days.

But all of sudden jobs are getting cancelled and we see lot of dumps in ST22, we see lot of lock entries in SM12 and fluctuating the number of records in table /SCMTMS/D_TRIGHD.

We have found couple of latest notes, not found actual reason for implementing them or how these notes would help me to fix this issue.

Again, Today jobs are getting finished properly and not many dumps in ST22. But lot of lock entries in SM12 are as is.

 

We have been thinking why we need this job to be executed for every 5 or 10 min. Why can't we schedule this daily once in the night(when system load is less).

Can somebody help me to understand why we need this job and what are the business consequences if we schedule daily once.

Could you please also help me what should i do for fixing this issue?

Functionalities in SAP APO. EHP3

Hi experts,

 

Read somewhere that in EHP3, SAP APO will come along with ERP package. How will this help the businesses, is SAP SCM not required at all? Will SAP ERP package alone suffice, if they want to have basic level planning?

Parallel Processing Error - EHP2 FOR SAP SCM 7.0

Dear Experts,

 

We are unable to run our customized replenishment process in EHP2 for SAP SCM 7.0 system.

 

Getting the error like Parallel processing is not for at least one service. Do you guys have any idea about how to resolve this...

SNP- TLB -> how does system gets the Purch Org and Purch Group

Hello,

 

I have a question about SNP-TLB.

When we run the TLB an STO gets created on R3 with Purch Org and Purch Group.

However when I fill in the same entities in R3 (ME21n) the system pops up with 2 errors: Fill in Purch Org and Purc Group.

 

My question is: how does R3 know what to fill in when the TLB is CIF-ed from APO to R3?

(is the logic in APO and pushed to R3 or is the logic in R3 after TLB is CIF-ed (I quess it's the latter)).

 

I'm using MRPareas to replenish with TLB.

The Product master does not hold the Purch Group at this level (it does at Plant-level).

Mass upload of condition records into condition maintenance for Scheduling

Hi,

 

I want to Upload mass upload to condition maintenance for Scheduling

Transaction : /SAPAPO/SCH_GCM OR /sapapo/gcm.

 

I tried to do the recording but as it is ALV based I cannot capture the values into the transaction.

 

Did any one get uploaded the values using different technicques..?

is there any FM which I can use..

1. In APO - while calculating the value of Fixed and variable capacity consumption -- for PPM
(a) (Time continuous--cap1,cap2)the formula used is that of Scheduling tab in workcenter in R/3 and
(b) (Bucket --bcap1,bcap2) the formula used is bcap1 = ( dur1 * BoM Base Quantity ) / Recipe Base Quantity

My doubt is -- what is the difference between the methods in which above capacity consumptions are calculated between SNP and PPDS PPM.
(assuming that no reource which is marked 'not relevant for SNP' in R/3 i.e. all resources are SNP as well as PPDS relevant).

2. From which ECC fields in routing/BOM -- the values of activity duration(dur1/dur2) is derived ? 

3. From which ECC fields in routing/BOM -- the values of Fixed and Variable consumption of material components are derived in PPM ?

FM to read the Resource information from Resource ID (/SAPAPO/RPT)

Hi,

 

Can you please let me know if there is any FM available in APO to get the resource information from Resource ID ?

 

/SAPAPO/RPT (T-code)  - has the resource name, in the debug mode the structure I_OBJECT_KEYS ( TYPE

  /SAPAPO/HEUR_OBJECT_KEYS) gets filled with Resource ID in the table RESID_TAB.

 

I would like to use a FM to get the information instead of reading from the table /sapapo/res_head.

 

Please suggest me if you guys are using any FM which gets the resource information from resource id?
