Attribute selection in planning levels

Hello,

Question 1: Is it recommended to include description attributes in the planning level?

In several master data types we have attributes with an ID and a description (e.g. Product ID and Product Description).
Is it sufficient to just add the attribute ID to the planning level and exclude the description?

Question 2: What is the recommendation for attributes that are on a higher level than the chosen root of the planning level?
Shall only attributes that are used in calculations be included in the planning level?
