Hello experts,
I am looking for advice on best practices around business process for a telecom company related to plant install & de-install.
Business scenario: Telecom company has sites across North America that requires installation based on the business volume to build telecom towers (cell towers) in that area for specific time period. Once the telecom towers are installed (supported by these sites), the volume may go down and client decides to close that site completely.
- This setup of sites and closure of sites happens on a frequent basis as there is ongoing cost associated with managing these sites.
- In addition, some of these sites may be big locations that will require the need for warehouse management due to the size and material volume that flows thru.
- Warehouses/sites are managed by logistics service providers contracted by telecom company.
I am looking for best practices on how this kind of business model can be supported in SAP (if it can be).
- Solution should be flexible enough to allow setup and removal of sites in a short amount of time (say 1 week or less),
- Solution should be scalable to fit various sizes of sites (can be as small as a small store room or huge as full blown warehouse).
This is like construction business, where sites are created near the projects and as time passes and closer to project end sites are closed.
Your inputs are appreciated.
