Hello All,
Here is a challenge that we have in our company today in regards to lifycyle planning and assignments.
We categorize our planning by material, sold-to and ship-to level. A sold-to has many registered ship-to's under it.
In the basic settings, we have defined both material and the ship-to as characteristics.
Whenever a product is discontinued in a couple of ship-to's, then the user manually enters the product and the ship-to in the assignements to phase them out. Planner's issue is that they have to do this for many product ship-to combinations.
For example,
Material | Ship-to |
---|---|
Product A | 10011 |
Product A | 10012 |
Product A | 10013 |
Product A | 10014 |
Product A | 10015 |
Product A | 20021 |
Product A | 20022 |
Product A | 20023 |
Product A | 20024 |
Say 10011 - 10020 belong to sold to 1001 and 20021 - 20024 belong to sold to 1004.
Can I maintain the basic settings using the characteristics Material, Sold-to and Ship-to and recreate the above like this?
Material | Ship-to | Sold-to |
---|---|---|
Product A | 10011 | |
Product A | 10012 | |
Product A | 10013 | |
Product A | 10014 | |
Product A | 10015 | |
Product A | 1004 |
Above, we are still listing the ship-to's not sold-to because the product needs to be discoutinued only in a couple of ship-to's under the sold-to not all. And 20021-20024 belong to the sold-to 1004. so we listed the sold-to. Does this "OR" method work? Thank you.
Regards,
Rohit.
