Hi
we are looking to build a consolidation scenario, like this
A->B ---> C(Terminal) ---------- D(Terminal) ----> E(de-consolidation point) --> F
|
G
1. LSP picks up a CONT1(Container, from where is not tracked in TM) goes to A & B (pickup).
2. Then container moves from C->D->E
3. Some goods from CONT1 are unloaded in E and it moves via TRUCK to F
4. Then CONT1 moves to G to unloaded remaining goods. ( G is like the place where all the Containers are kept)
We do this for a single customer.
We would like bill customer based on the # of containers used with additional stop charges.
Questions:
1. We tried using the Transportation units(TU). but then we cannot make the Means of transport as multi-resource. Then we need to create multiple resources representing each container( that is not feasible) what other options do we have ?
2. Once a Container(TU) is used for planning, the same resource is not available for planning another set of FU.
When does the resource get free and available for planning ?
3. Is there any other better way of doing this.
regards
