Configuration of INVENTORYTARGET Key figure

Hi,

I am looking at SAP2 planning areas and wanted to understand the configuration of INVENTORYTARGET Key figure, this is a stored key figure and can be loaded using a .csv file but still why helper key figure has been used in this configuration. Is it for any specific purpose ?

Here helper is being used and creating kind of a circle (first INVENTORYTAGET is assigned to helper and then helper is assgined back to INVENTORYTARGET Key figure)
