hyperlink for communication from EM to ECC

Dear All ,

                     The heperlink provide in web UI on Sales order document to navigate to ECC system opens the SAPGUI.   The issue is it does not allows us to automatically logon. The basis team says it requires a Secure network communication. They are suggested to do with trusted RFC's . Is there a way to override secure network communication  such that  the communication is via trusted RFC's?
