Restore Orders after Version Copy

Hello,

We've a requirement wherein the business would use simulation versions for what-if planning.

This would typically start with version copy of time series and order series along with master data followed by SNP heuristics in the simulation version. The planners would then review the results and might fix orders or create orders in the planning book (which will be fixed as per the settings).

Sometimes, they would need a refresh of the operative version to the simulation version again but since it would overwrite what was fixed, we are looking for an option to copy these fixed orders and restore them back.

We looked at VERCOP, TSCOPY and LCIN/LCOUT but they all have some drawbacks. For e.g. VERCOP even though can be done partially between simulation version, restore would delete all and restore. so copy from operative and restore will not work. For TSCOPY and LCIN/OUT, they work with time series and hence restore will restore the number but not the order itself thereby missing source of supply and therefore dependent demand on child products.

Is there any way to copy the firmed/fixed orders from a simulation version and restore them back (in addition) after a version copy along with the source of supply so that they dependent requirements are also restored?

Thank You.
