We are looking for a function to mimic the GLEI key functionality in ECC into APO SNP for process orders. We have the GLEI key maintained on the production version and also in the BOM for the components. We CIFed over the PPDS PDS and the new process orders are associated with the PPDS PDS.
Now, there are orders which span over periods (weeks or months) and based on OSS note 456278, the standard SAP functionality works only if there's 1 operation/phase in the recipe and if there's no GR processing time.
Obviously, this cannot always be the case since the business would require multiple resources / lines in which case the distributed quantities will not work and all the production quantity is bundled up on the activity to which the primary/finished product is assigned. This is most likely the last operation and hence the total quantity is available only on the last day of the order even though ECC MD04 shows it everyday (based on the GLEI). If a GR activity is involved, the quantity will show up only on the GR activity end date.
We are not using PPDS for planning and only SNP heuristics. Is there anyway to show distributed quantities on the SNP planning book between the start and end date of the order and not between the start and end date of the operation (to which the primary product is assigned to)?
