PPDS PDS to update variable bucket capacity

Hello All

Working with scenario, looking for expert advice

APO PDS with type 'p" PPDS with mixed resource is used and want to populate the bucket resource capacity (variable).

What is the procedure to update, does the normal CIF only transfer continous resource capacity for mixed resource? do we need to implement any badi or user exit?

The PDS_MAINT in ECC does provide option to maintain it but exploring option of default setup via CIF
