Hello All,
This is regarding the internal proportional factor calculation when we have Time stream used. We use a 5 day week as Time stream and its included on the Storage bucket profiles.
After initialization of the planning area when we check the factors generated it does not total up to no. of working days in the month or not the actual days of the month.
For eg. for November 2014 -
Without time Stream the factor sums up to 30,
Period | Factor |
---|---|
11/1/2014 12:00:00 AM | 2 |
11/3/2014 12:00:00 AM | 7 |
11/10/2014 12:00:00 AM | 7 |
11/17/2014 12:00:00 AM | 7 |
11/24/2014 12:00:00 AM | 7 |
with this we have the month to week getting dis aggregated based on this correctly. eg. forecast of 654 -> 654/30*2 - 43.6 & rest of the weeks as 152.6
With time stream the factor is different and does not add up to 20 or no. of working days.
Period | Factor |
---|---|
11/1/2014 12:00:00 AM | 0.314 |
11/3/2014 12:00:00 AM | 37.655 |
11/10/2014 12:00:00 AM | 37.655 |
11/17/2014 12:00:00 AM | 37.655 |
11/24/2014 12:00:00 AM | 37.655 |
With this the dis aggregation is different - .eg. Forecast of 654 -> 1.360 for 1st week and rest of weeks as 163.16. I dont get this if I use 20 days as working period...
1. When using the Timestream, should the factors sum up to no. of working days? ideally I expect this as this is the case without time stream.
2. In some months with 5 day weeks, we dont get the same factor for all the 4 weeks. e.g. Nov. 2014 has 4 working weeks(5day/week) but we dont get the factor as 37.655 for all 4 of them... 1st two weeks its 37.344 and rest are 37.655. How does Time stream affect the factor calculation?
3. To check the forecast / week do we still use the same formula - Monthly forecast / no. of working days & Factor.
I have referred to the note 1902413 and checked but unable to figure out the difference or strange dis aggregation when using Timestream.
Thanks
