Shelf life planning in SAP APO

Hi All,

I am trying to perform shelf life planning in SAP APO SNP.

I have some queries.

1. I have 3 products and I want to perform it for single product, Do I only need to enable "Plng with Shelf life" for 1 product in global data and all location? Also, Do I need to only provide "Shelf life" in global data or all locations?
2. I am not using ECC for this. Is it possible to perform this without ECC? Does APO store shelf life data?
3. Am I able to Define shelf life profile for a single product in APO as it never asks for product? Do I need to enable "Plng with Shelf life" for all product to do this?
4. If anybody has configuration document for Shelf life planning, please provide me steps for that.

Please help.
